With the entry into force of the German Closed Substance Cycle Waste Management Act on 24.02.2012, waste management has now fundamentally changed into closed-cycle management in which waste generation and waste management are carried out with particular attention to the sparing use of natural resources and protection of people and the environment. In particular, graduates will have acquired competence in the fields of waste prevention, waste utilisation and waste treatment.
